Spring Board Layout
A "spring board" in the logging industry was used to get lumberjacks up higher on the tree to do their cutting.
The shortest layout on Shelton Springs is aligned with a PDGA-RED level course. This layout is perfect for novice players, rated about 850 or below, or those looking to get a quick round in.
SANCTIONED EVENT COURSE RECORD: -14 Chris May at StatMando Open 2023
Timber Claw Layout
Lumberjacks use a "timber claw" to grab onto and drag logs around the work site.
The Timber Claw will sink it's teeth into intermediate players rated around 925 on this PDGA-WHITE level layout.
SANCTIONED EVENT COURSE RECORD: -10 Jeremy Marsh & John Anderson at SSO 2023
Misery Whip Layout
The two-man crosscut saw is known to those who've used it, as a "misery whip"! Doesn't that sound fun?
This PDGA-BLUE level layout is the most challenging regularly configured track that Shelton Springs has to offer. Long distance and controlled shots are required to score well. Designed to test advanced players, rated 975 and above.
